It doesn’t matter if the times are good or bad. At the end of the day, people are looking for assurances that their money is safe—whether it’s at their bank, credit union, or investment accounts. Thankfully, America has a robust system to safeguard its financial system.
Most Americans’ savings, checking, money market, 401(K), Roth IRA, and investment accounts are backed by government insurance—and while it won’t protect you against making bad investment decisions or taking bad advice from an advisor or friend, it makes sure that you keep what’s yours, even if calamity strikes.
But even though you have half of the equation accounted for, you might be wondering: what about growing what’s yours? How do you put your money to work? How do you build generational wealth?
Thankfully, there’s a surprisingly simple answer: start early, stay consistent, and stay committed.
At EarlyBird, we help families hone in on one part of wealth-building: building a financial foundation for their children. That means not just keeping what’s yours, but making more from what you started with. We offer families a time-tested, safe, and advised strategy to do just that.

How Do I Invest Through EarlyBird?
We take the guesswork out of investing for families. You have a lot on your plate—jobs, caretaking, your social life, and everything in between. You probably don’t want another thing to worry about, so we make it easy to deposit money and forget it while it grows.
When you register for EarlyBird, you’ll be offered a selection of how aggressive you’d like to be with your child’s portfolio. We encourage parents to consider their own comfort and risk tolerance, but also consider that the money they invest in our platform could sit for many years.
If you’re expecting, you can open an account under your name to start saving for your child. Once you already have welcomed your child, you can transition your savings into an account under their name called an UGMA. In both accounts, your portfolio preferences and selections will automatically be applied.
To execute your plan with ease, EarlyBird uses exchange-traded funds, or ETFs for short. ETFs are portfolios of stocks which are traded on stock markets. We partnered with ******iShares, which is owned by financial giant BlackRock, to buy only the best ETFs with your deposits.
Off the bat, you can be assured that your money is being invested in some of the world’s most valuable and profitable businesses—something which is constantly being examined and changed by our partners to maximize your money and investment over time.
Is EarlyBird Safe?
Though EarlyBird is a successful business which has raised millions of dollars from premier investors, we work with credible financial partners to ensure that every dollar you invest through our platform is not just safeguarded, but invested to grow:
- Our ETF partner iShares manages over $2.5 trillion of assets, and its parent company BlackRock manages $10 trillion in total assets.
- Our broker-dealer partner, Apex Clearing Corporation, is a well-funded and regulated broker-dealer. Apex helps us offer our UGMA accounts, and it services more than 13 million total investor accounts across platforms like EarlyBird.
- Apex Clearing Corporation is insured by SIPC, which means that your child’s money is insured up to $500,000 per account type. Apex is also an SEC-registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA, both government organizations.
We utilize the expertise and credibility of iShares and Apex to offer families an investment strategy for their children. That’s where we come in: as an SEC-registered investment advisor, we are required to abide by government regulations and standards—and it also means we have a fiduciary responsibility to you as our client.
In short, EarlyBird is very safe. We have taken precautions to safeguard your funds, work with credible partners to grow your deposits, and build greater equity in you by minimizing unnecessary fees and nonsense.
How Can I Get Started?
Getting started on EarlyBird is easy. Just sign up up and share a little information about yourself, then you’ll be good to start investing.
You can set up recurring monthly deposits to your account, request contributions from friends and family, and even leave a personal touch with every contribution in the form of a video message.
Over time, your contributions will compound in value—both as you contribute more money and your contributions grow in value because of compound interest from your investments. Over 5, 10, 15, or 18 years, that money will go a long way: and that’s all the more reasons to start investing for your child as early as you feasibly can.
Whether you’re expecting or are already a proud parent, we’re here to help.
